My limited research indicates this might be related to Apple and/or HP revoking the print software "certificates." After installing "HP Smart" I have tried to update the 5520 software and firmware from the HP website but when I download the supposed new software/firmware and run it I get a notice on my computer that there is nothing available for my computer. Same thing happens when I print from my iPad. I have replaced the print cartridges with no change. This is HP’s official website to download the correct drivers free of cost for Windows and Mac. Yet the black letters on the summary report print perfectly just not in the black box portion where the black should be displayed.
